Hello- I am new to this forum, and all forums for that matter. I am looking for a little help here with a 1994 Honda CB1000 "Big One" I bought from a gentleman for $700. The bike came with no title, but here in Colorado they are not that hard to obtain. The bike is running, but came from Florida and a rider originally that didn't treat it well. I am currently rebuilding it to try to sell it, but don't really know a lot about these models and there aren't a lot of them out there (I typically rebuild early to late 70's Honda CB's). My question is, what they would generally sell for in good running condition, but in fair shape with all body parts there. This one has tears in the seat, a scrape on the tail fairing, a new front fender that I bought and didn't have a speedometer until I bought one for it. It also has two small dents on either side of the tank where some shorter handle bars were pushed into it when it fell over. Thanks in advance for any help on this. I am trying to get back to another project in the garage- 1976 CB550 Supersport...

It doesn't sound like you are very good at this. Why in the world would you buy a bike to resale when you really don't even know what you are buying? Second, buying without a title is not smart. Did you even runb the vin to check the history before you bought it? As far as value, it is worth what the market will pay. To me, it doesn't sound like there is any money to be made on that.

Hi, I'm new to the this forum as well. I have the same exact bike you just bought and mine is in nearly perfect condition with 33K miles. These bikes don't go for a lot of money even though they're hard to find and I've seen them go for about $3K in really good condition. I've also done some minor work on mine and if you recondition them with OEM parts, they're not cheap....
They were only sold in the US in '94 and '95 and not in huge quantities. The same model was available in Europe starting in '92 but even there they're hard to find.
Question: I've been looking for a seat pan and I can't find one. Would you consider selling yours? If so, how much would you let it go for? Thanks.

....If you're interested in joining a forum dedicated to CB1000's I was able to find only one and it's based in the UK, even though it has members from around the world: http://www.atfreeforum.com/hondacb1000/profile.php?mforum=hondacb1000&mode=activate&u=155&act_key=ff063e

Hi, I have been searching for a CB1000 for the past 6 months. I have seen pricing from 1500.00 to 4500.00. Basically, I think you'll get what ever the buyer is willing to pay. I'm looking for one in the 2000.00-2500.00 price range but I don't want big shipping cost to make it cost more than it's worth. In this range I feel I should be able to find one in great condition with around 25k miles, give or take some. Anyone out there who has a CB1000 that's not wanting to retire or purchase a condo in Fla. from the sale, shoot me a line @TGCARPENTER@AOL.COM I'm in Tennessee, Thanks.
