I have looked online and the manual i got with the bike and there dosent seem to be anything about changing the gear oil do you have to and how.

The Kawasaki EX500, like most other modern motorcycle engines, shares the motor oil with the gearbox. Thus, changing the engine motor oil is the same thing.
