What do you look for from a manufacturer's web site?

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum. I'm not a rider myself, but I'm working on the redesign of a major power sports manufacturer's web site. I really want to know what drives motorcycle, ATV, & side x side riders to a manufacturer's site. Why would you go there rather than an online power sports magazine, forum, or blog? What can a manufacturer give you on their site that would be helpful and make your power sports experiences better? I really want to redesign the site to help users and not just push the manufacturer's agenda.

The first impression is the best impression, I too am new to this forum, anyway i feel like people always look for the trustworthy and trendy ones.
