i am new to the bike world but i do have experience on dirt bikes and atvs. i've read forums over and over about people saying that a 600 is not a good bike to start off with but all of the people haven't driven anything other than a car. im used to 2 stroke dirt bikes so im used to the powerband and i have a 1000 ATV. I am about 6'1" and weigh about 175. i also have to drive about 40 mins to work on the interstate and 40 min to school 2 days a week.

There are several 600s that are good bikes to start off with:
Kawasaki Ninja 650 Yamaha FZ6R Suzuki SV650

How much actual riding experience (time) do you have?
You would be better off with the aforementioned bikes for a lot of reasons.

So when you say you're "new to the bike world", you mean the sportbike world? Do you currently own a dirtbike?
