Traction Control - Great article

Hat's off to Mr. Trevitt.
SR's article is a valuable overview of the thinking that is behind the words "traction control" and of the various methods/theories by which it is being developed.
For example, the discussion of how circumference varies with lean angle and how turning by itself thereby varies wheel speed irrespective of wheel slip gave a glimpse into the designers' difficulties.
The lead photo of Ben Spies, crossed up on the entry, nose pointed at the exit, spinning the rear while he runs over prior lap's "darkies," gives a snapshot idea of what the designers are dealing with.
Thank you Mr. Trevitt.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. That article was a lot of interesting research, and fun to write.

The article wasn't published on the website until recently; backsideslider was referring to the October issue of Sport Rider magazine. It can now be found here in the Features section.
