I have a '96 Honda VFR 750 that uses 45w/45w head lights (owners manual). I upgraded to 60w/45w lights several years ago and they worked fine but these have now bit the dust too. I'd like to upgrade to 100w/80w bulbs but am concerned about excessive heat in the enclosed head light area. Plastic does melt when it gets too hot. Any experiences or recommendations using higher wattage bulbs? (I did purchase the H4 adapter kit so I can run just about any H4 bulb on the VFR.) Thanks.
