I Had picked up a 750 on the cheap a while back. I was having a lot of problems with wiring and ecu. Secondary throttle plates would not move. Finally got it sorted yesterday. After rewiring and installation of another ecu I still had to remove the secondary throttle plates. It starts a little hard, but runs pretty good. after a trip to the dyno after my power commander comes in and It will finally be ready for the track.

So you had to throw in the towel regarding the STV actuator motor? I recall your thread a while back regarding the problems you were having with troubleshooting the secondary throttle plate issue.

In the end, it was not cost effective to wrestle it down. It is currently running with an ecu from an 02 and the secondary plates removed. Seems to run ok like that, just a little hard to start. After a tune on the dyno, all should be right as rain.

You'll probably have to richen up the bottom to keep the off-idle throttle response from being too abrupt. That's probably why it's hard to start as well, because the stock fueling curves probably keep the secondary throttle plates almost closed during cold starts.
