I just recently lowered my '07 ZZR 600 but in doing so the rear tire now smacks into the undertail whial riding, what should i do to fix this... i don't know much about tuning the suspension on my bike, please help???

Whith out knowing what you did to lower your rear suspension, it's hard to know what to do. The rear suspension would have a geometry to work with but some times after market or custom parts may be needed to change ride hieghth properly. A great source of information on this subject is Andrew Trevitt's Sport Bike Suspension Tuning.

What i did to lower the suspension was after market lowering links... it was lowered 4in in the rear and 2in in the frount... i had no problems untill it was lowered.

The problem with lowering the bike that much in the rear with just lowering links is that you put tremendous stress on the linkage components. You also alter the linkage ratio, which is part of reason there is a lot more stress on the parts (and why there were some reports of lowering links breaking). Lowering the rear 4 inches with just links is too much in our opinion; you've probably put the linkage at such an acute angle that it bends at the bottom of travel, causing it to bottom out on your tailsection. We'd suggest using another method to lower the rear if you need it lowered that much.

ok thanks for the info but what other ways are there to lower a bike if you don't use lowering links... yes i need it that low...IE,,short person...it isnt bad rubbing when im by myself but when i have a passanger it is much worse...what should i ***

We'd try to search around on some of the Kawasaki forums to see if there's a shorter OEM Kawasaki shock from another model that fits your bike. Many of the links we've seen have multiple lowering "settings"; we'd go for the least amount of lowering from the link (usually one inch from what we've seen), then get the rest from other means.

Another trick you can try is to shave some of the foam out of your seat. That should give you at least another inch, maybe more. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, a reputable upholstery shop should be able to shave the extra foam out and still leave a natural contour for you to sit on.
