Oil Change interval for track day usage

I have a 2008 Suzuki GSXR 750 K8 that I use only for track days currently. It has 1300 miles on it now, the first 700 miles were on the street. I changed the oil at the break-in point of 600 miles and again at 1000 miles (300 track miles). On the track the RPM usually do not fall below 7000 and I rev it up to the red line/rev limiter of 15000. I usually get seven 20 minute sessions of track time, 150 track miles per track day. My question is how often should I change the oil for this type of usage? The standard 3000 mile oil change interval is not applicable, I want to keep the motor as healthy as possible for as long as possible and changing the oil is cheaper and safer than a blown/worn out engine but I also do not want to waste my time and money changing the oil when it doesn't need it.
I am currently using Suzuki Performance 20W-50 standard petroleum oil (I plan to go to synthetic oil next season), the engine is completely stock (I have a Yoshimura TRC full exhaust, ECU, wiring harness, BMC race air filter and Factory Pro velocity stacks I will be installing in the off season).
Thank
Dennis

If your bike is only used for track days-- and you're using regular petroleum oil-- we'd change every three track days at minimum (every two would be better). The sharing of the engine oil with the transmission quickly degrades the motor oil due to the gears' shearing effect.

Would running synthetic motorcycle engine oil extend the change interval? If so how long? What brand? What viscosity? Thanks you for your time Kento, you do a great job with Sport Rider Magazine! I always find your information to be insightful, accurate, and entertaining.
Thanks again
Dennis

Running synthetic motor oil won't necessarily extend the maintenance interval. You need to make sure you're running a full synthetic, not a "synthetic blend." If you run a good name brand fully synthetic oil (Motul, Maxima, Bel-Ray, Castrol, Mobil 1, etc.), then you could probably extend it to every three track days comfortably. We'd run the recommended viscosity in your bike's owner's manual.
Thanx for reading SR.
