Went shopping for my first bike today and ran across a UM V2S-250. Does anyone know: Are these any good and are they a good beginner bike?

I purchased the 2009 v2s-250r in march of this year
I have 3000 miles on it so far with no problems
I know alot of people have questioned its reliability ,well i think most of the issue's with this bike have been dealer prep issue's
If ya buy one do your research on the dealer the one i purchased mine from really liked the bike even the mechanic's like it ,as for the finish its not as nice as a japanese bike.
at a distance it looks as good but the japanese put a little nore detail into there finish.
