I'm thinking of buying something like a BMW K1300 or maybe a Ducati, for my 21st. I have a problem, im like....5'4" on a good day. Can anybody suggest something, anything, I can do?

Being 5'4" is perfectly normal, but the bikes you listed are really going to be major challenge. With 33-35 inches being the norm, you'll have to be strong and agile to slip off to one side when stopping. In the same vein you've pretty much got to get your bike in first before you stop, hold in the clutch then shift your weight back to center as you accelerate. Tip over is a serious problem with trying to ride a bike like this. Although riding a cruiser may not be what you want, you can get a number of bikes with much lower seats.

Hmmmm, damn. Maybe I'll just get the bike, and a taller guy.

What Ducati were you thinking of? The Ducati Monster 696 can be adjusted and there are seats custom made for it that might, and I have to stress they "may or may not" work for you. If you do go that route: Find a dealer who has lowered the bike before and KNOWS how low they can co without messing up the geometry and ruining the ride and handling.

There are a couple of BMW models that crop at 29.5 at the seat. Check those out. If you want to spend less money and really get a learners sportsbike I would suggest the Kawasaki Ninja 250. It will blow you away!. Without the need of the taller man unless that is your ultimate goal.
