i just bought a 1993 honda cbr 600 f-2 and i was wondering what i should do as far maintenance. should i go and get a tune up and oil change asap. Please help.

How many miles are on the bike? Were you given any maintenance records from the previous owner? An oil change would be a good start, just to be on the safe side.

it has about 32,000 on it and no i wasnt given any maintenance records either...a couple of my friends said i should just take it down and have a tune up done and an oil change as well.

If you don't have any maintenance history on the bike, it's always good to have it gone through by a competent mechanic before you do any riding.

Thats alot of miles. I would look over the bike as well as prevoisly mentioned. Look at the tires to make sure they are not showing threads and look at your brake fluid levels. If you don't know anything about bikes take it to a shop and have them look it over for problems.
