turn signals not working

i just recently purchased some front led turn signals, and before then i installed clear alternatives tail lights with intergrated  turn signals.  the tail lights went on flawless and i love the look; mind you i did not install the resistors because i like the faster flash rate.  the front turn signals are giving me fits.  i installed them and they both worked, but after testing them out on the road i noticed one side (the right side) stopped working.  after looking for loose connections i tried to test the signals again.  thats when i noticed none of my turn signals worked; front or rear turn signals.  so i opened my fuse box and the fuse was blown. after replacing the fuse the lights still didnt work. can any mechanic on these boards help me out?  thanks in advance.

First off, install the Resistors.  Lamps that flash at too high a frequency can burn a Stock Flasher Unit.
Secondly, LED Lamps will not work on all Bikes, especially ones with older, non relay, wire harnesses.  You don't mention what the Bike is, so I am presuming that it is a new model.  Even some of the newer Bikes have issues with LED Lamps, as the AMP Ratings these Lamps work on is so low, drawing much less power than Standard Bulbs, that some Wiring Systems can't even recognize that there is even a Bulb in the Socket!  With that in mind, there is a problem with the installation for the Fuse to fail.  This could be anything from a bad terminal in the Lamp Socket, to a failed contact in your wiring.  You will need to go over everything you did once more, and if the fault is not found, check the Contacts within the the Lamp itself, with an OHM Meter.
It is also possible that the Flasher Unit itself has fused into a grounded position, which will have blown the fuse, and now does not allow your signals to function at all.
Advice as follows:  Install the Resistors, replace the Flasher Unit, and recheck all Contacts, and Terminal Connections.  However, Do Not install a higher AMP Rated Fuse to solve the problem.
Good Luck with it, and let us know what happened!
