This is my first season riding, I did a lot of research and ended up going with the 250 ninja. I love my bike to death, and i ride pretty hard, i have no problem keeping up with the 600's and 1000's in turns but obviously when on the highway i cant ride like i want to. So im ready for a new bike, i love the R6, and the CBR. Any ideas? At this point i am completely against the GSXR but my mind could possibly change. HELP!?!

Anyone with the R6, what do you think?

In my opinion, the CBR for Honda's dependability and it's "do it all" abilities.  The R6 for it's more sport focused handling and sexy design.  For my self, I am not that into comfort, and I have owned a CBR in the past.... So I would get the R6 as I like to skip the highways and bomb back roads also, looks wise, I feel the R6 has style the CBR lacks.   In the end the choice is yours to make, and as I've said in other post, this is just my opinion, you have to make your own decision and get the bike that makes you feel like your going to die if you do not get to ride it everyday.

I guess I was no help?

lol well i cant say that i thought the R6 and the word comfort should be used in the same sentence lol. And with u agreeing with me helps a bit. I look at the R6 and i dunno if i wanna have an orgasm or i wanna ride it as hard as i can till my ass hurts so bad that i have to pull over and walk it off. I really think the R6 is a beautiful bike and even though the R1 (in my opinion) is a bit of an over kill but  is a very sexy, bad ass looking, wanna jump up and bite u in the ass kinda bike. And thats wat i want. I must say im gonna be a bit nervus i think on watever it is. Handling isn't gonna be the same. Grr this is a hard decision. I really wanna be able to lean the bike just has well as i lean my ninja

Well, if you think you're ready to move up to a SS, then get what moves you.  Go to the dealer and sit on both and go with your instinct.  It doesn't sound like you're all about comfort, which is good considering you want a super sport.  :P

I personally have an '07 R6 and LOVE it.  Its design is sexy as hell, it handles like a dream and is more than fast enough.  I turn a lot of heads with it.  I've heard a lot of good things about the CBR, but I personally like the look of the R6 better than any of the other 600's.  I really don't have any complaints about my Yamaha.

Lastly, when you end up making decision, just make sure you spend plenty of time practicing and getting the feel of your new ride.  That should eliminate at least some of your nervousness.  Just remember that you won't be able to ride the 600 as hard as the 250!  Best of luck in your decision and stop back and let us know what you end up going with!

I think you will be able to.  Just respect the additional power, you will not be able to just hold the throttle open and turn.  I love riding the 250, on the track I feel like I just need to hold it open and trust it to turn.  But it sounds like you will not have a problem if you keep up with the 600s & bigger on the 250 in the twistiest roads.  And it sounds like the R6 has that undefined spark of Soul for you, that reason we get the motorcycle in the 1st place.  Get yer 600, and ride it till your whole body is numb, take it on the track, ride it to work.  Burn off the damned OEM tires in 3000 miles or less, and love every minute.

Yeah check out the bikes in person, sit on them, and just  go with whatever gives you that extra little feeling inside.
