Have a 2005 CBR 600 F4i, just bought new exhaust, kerker slip on, do I need to have it put on a dyno? Will it hard my cycle if I don't ?

If you want to know the exact HP and torque improvements, then do but there is no real need to dyno your bike. No, it will not be hard on your bike if you do not put it on a dyno. It will be hard on your bike however if you just install the Kerker slip on without having your ECU/E-Prom reprogrammed for the slip on. The ECU on your 05 should be able to be reprogrammed for your modificaton, or there should be a EUC or eprom available for the 05 600f4i w/slip on.

Ok, walk me thru this ! How do I reprogram the ECU/E-prom if the pipe doesn't come with anything other than the pipe. Bought it used but it was never used. Then what?

The shop you have work on your bike should have a diagnostic computer that they hook up to the ECU, with it they can reprogram the ECU/e-prom.

Well the dealership wants 287.00 to remap! Am I better off just buying the tool myself to remap?

Have you ever remapped a ECU before? Do you have the correct map for your bike with your exhaust system? The tool costs much more than the dealer is asking to do your re-map. You have the option of not doing the re-map, you will not see as big an increase in power, and may even feel a loss of power over time. There is also the chance of damaging the bike without doing the remap.
To Quote Renaissance_Man from another thread:
"In installing the New Exhaust, you have altered the Back Pressure, and Air Flow. Exhaust can now leave the System Faster, which draws in more Air. If the ECU can not adjust for this, the result is More Air, Insufficient Fuel, otherwise know as a 'Lean Running Condition'."
And
"Running your Bike in a Lean Condition for prolonged periods of time will result in several damaging issues as follows:
Scorched (White)Spark Plug Insulators/ Burnt Electrodes Heat Scoring on Piston Heads/Cylinder Walls/Upper Rings Burnt Exhaust Valves/Exhaust Valve Seats Heat Damaged Header Pipes (Scorced Finish/Thinning of Walls) Excessive Heat in Header Pipes can result in additional damage in surrounding vacinity.
This is some Expensive Damage, although the Engine will not 'Blow up'. Eventually, it will begin to run poorly, and backfire on decelleration."
How much is your bike worth to you? If you want to keep it, want it to run better, have more power, and not just be louder, have them do the re-map.

Your right, I'm going to put the new exhaust and new high flow airfilter in right away and have it remapped. Thanx for the help.

ok, just installed the new Kerker slip on exhaust. Wow what a difference just love the note this pipe has. Cycle runs perfect without touching it and I have better response. Now would u buy a power commander or not? It seems that everyone that has one had nothing but problems with them .

You should not need the power commander, if you re-mapped. They work great on the bikes that have the ECU locked, but the best way, if the ECU can be re-mapped is to re-map. The power commander works great in what it can do, but it is not the best solution, and most of us won't just get it set right and leave it alone. That is why they have the undeserved reputation of being trouble.

The ECU is set at the factory and can't be reset. I will buy a power commander to be on the safe side. I'm not sure how to set one. What do I look at ? Do u have any experience with them?

Never used one, but because they started "locking" the ECU on the Japanese bikes, I got a Ducati, very easy to change the chip and program the bike to fit the rider.
Check The URL here:
http://www.fireblades.org/
or
http://www.600rr.net/
Someone there may have the code to unlock the ECU/Know were to get a EU or Racing version of your bikes ECU and/or be able to help you with the Power Commander settings.
