Break-in period

A partial 'riding technique' issue?  Just wondering if anyone knows how I can tell if I'm breaking in my new bike properly.  It's a 2008 Ninja 650R.  I feel like I'm doing everything that was suggested to me, but is there any way I can actually know?

There should be a section in your owner's manual that specifies what the manufacturer suggests for a break-in.  If you don't have an owner's manual, get one from your dealer.  They have loads of valuable information about features of your bike, maintenance schedules, suggested settings, etc.  Hopefully that helps.
