Installing Vortex frame sliders on '08 GSXR1000

I am planning on installing a pair of Vortex frame sliders on my '08 Suzuki GSXR1000. Has anyone installed a set of frame sliders on an 07-08 GSXR1000? There are no instructions provided with the kit. It seems like a simple install (screw off the engine bolts, screw in the new slider/engine bolts and torque to 40.0 lb-ft). Do I need to loosen the pinch bolt on the right hand side? If so, I'd have to remove the fairing too (which I want to avoid). Any potential problems, ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.
