Waht do 'yall think of the Katana? I've been thinking    about buying a CBR600...But maybe I'm more suited for a Katana...? Pro's and Con's encouraged...!

I've had my '03 600 for a couple months now and love it. It's not the fastest, but fast enough, the long wheel base is nice for cornering quickly (good stability), and ive done a couple long rides (200 miles+) in one day and was very comfortable. You lean forward enough to have the sport bike feel but it's still allows for a comfortable sitting position. Good luck!

One another note, Katanas were one of the best selling sport/touring bikes in history so they are a dime a dozen helping you to get a good deal. I got my '03 will 2100 miles on it for about 3500, half the price of a new one, yet still essentially brand new.

I have both a Katana and a CBR, both being 1999 models.  The Katana was nice because it didn't get me into too much trouble.  It was a great bike for learning to ride on, or to commute to work on.

but...the CBR -- which was a 900rr, was a serious beast, with big smile accelerating and rock solid cornering ability.  It even had space under the tail for a cell phone, wallet, ect.

So, the question to ask yourself is: what are your plans for the bike?  If you want something to ride to work, or are just getting into motorcycles, then I would recommend the Suzuki (the new GSX-F is getting great reviews as well...it replaced the Kat).  But, if you have been on bikes for a while, the CBR offers a lot more entertainment on the throttle.
