Opinions Wanted: 2004 Kawi ZX-6R or 2007 Triumph Sprint ST?

I used to own a 2003 Kawi ZX-6R, had a WHOLE LOT of fun and loved it. Though at times I felt it was too small for my build.  I'm 6'3", 225 lbs.  I chose the ZX-6R as my first motorcycle because I wanted to start riding on a middlewieght rather than a literbike, to play it safe I guess.  I am close to getting back into the sport, and buying another bike.  I used to ride my bike a lot on the freeway, and during the weekends, would jaunt around SoCal Mountain roads and twisties for therapy.  I don't think i'll ever ride on a track, or ever go to racing school.  I'm thirty years old and need your opinion.  I want to know what you think I should get for my next bike.  As I said I love the 03-04 ZX-6R and might buy an 04 ZX-6R.  I have thought about the 2005 ZX-10R, simply for comfort for my bigger frame as opposed to the ZX-6R, not so much the added power.  But then I remember it's almost the same size as the ZX-6R.  And the Power's always fun when you want to travel through time(wink, wink)!  And then there's the 2007 Triumph Sprint ST, non ABS, and would rarely use the storage hardcases.  I like the blue color scheme and the triple H.Lights up front and exhaust out back.  BUT, I want to know if the Sprint, w/o bags on, is able to stretch it's legs and still give me the thrill I used to get, riding the ZX-6R in the twisties, while providing me comfort for when I do strap on the luggage and trek up to NorCal!?  And what do you think about the 06 VFR800 by Honda (venerable Interceptor)?  If these two S-T's can't at least bring back my ZX-6R thrills, then I'll stick w/ the 636 series or 04-05 ZX-10R from Kawi.
Any input would be thankful.  Happy riding!

Dude!
Asking this is like asking us to suggest a new pair of shoes, or worse, an apartment!  You are a big boy at 30, and can figure this out for yourself!!!
That having been said (wink, wink), it sounds to me that you are discribing a 00-03 Kawasaki Concours.  I REALLY don't like suggesting a Bike to anyone, as it is a personal thing, and one may be right for another, and have nothing to offer the next (or something like that), but this Bike may fit you.  Find one to sit on, or maybe ride, and you may find that it has the right Prone for your Height, Power for the Twisties and Open Highway, with the Lugagge Option for that long Trip.
This is a Fast Bike (Not fast enough for Time Travel, but enough to make Travel Time Fun!), as it is Ninja Based in Design since conception in 1985, and although Classified as a 'Sport Touring Bike', it really has a lot more 'Sport' than 'Touring'.  Weighs in at about 488 lbs Dry, 1000cc Engine pushes around 105 HP, and gets good MPG.
Good examples of these can be found in the $2500-$5000 Range, and Parts (Stock/Aftermarket) are readily available.

And by the way; Well Done!  Most guys choose a Bike based on Flash, and Speed, rather than really taking the time to know what they want, or need, out of the Bike!!!

Good Luck on your Search!  Ride Safe, and Have Fun!

Thanks for the input R.M.  And I appreciate your restraint.  BUT, I am only looking for an OPINION on what you think of the bikes I mentioned, nothing more.  I'll probably end up choosing one of the bikes I mentioned, so maybe what i'm asking is to hear about peoples experiences on an individual basis.

Hi rr3000. I can't speak for the Kwaka but I have a Sprint ST '04 and it is an awesome bike. The weighting is roughly 30% sport/70% touring and the '07 Sprint has a slightly more touring bias. The bike has tons of power, is great in the twisties and when in touring mode will chew up the kms in superb comfort.

Lots for you to consider before you make a decision. Service availability, budget, comfort level, etc but if you want to ask a few friendly folk who really know their stuff about Sprints, try http://www.triumphrat.net/sprint-forum/. You'll find me lurking around there and questions from potential RATs are always welcome by the guys.
