hi all, new to the forum here...and buying a new sportbike....this wil be my 5th bike...past bikes were a few cruisers and a 05 daytona 650, and a 04 r1.

i was leaning towards the daytona, except its only a 3cylinder, which makes me wonder about the engines durability and so on....

so, in terms on pure acceleration, which bike would give you the best 'seat of your pants' feeling?

also- is the daytona as great as the reviews say they are? anyone ever rode one? how good of a bike is it?

all bikes are 2008, so i have to decide which one i wanna buy.....so in your guys opinion, which one is best overall? the 08 triumph, the r6 or the zx6r?

better street bike imo,

the new cbr600rr is pretty sweet too
i always felt that r6 were to track oriented
and zx6r has always been one of my personal faves

but i say daytona

think it all depends on what you are looking for. the triumph and zx6r are probablly the most comfortable. triumph is probably a little more torquey at low rpms but that doesnt mean its faster than the others either. if all of these bikes are racing against each other it is the rider who is going to win not the bike. i have a buddy with a triumph and it doesnt seem as reliable as the others and it is costly to have it fixed. if you are looking to have something different than most people though the triumph is good though. the r6 sits very compacted so if you are tall or comuting, probably wouldnt be much fun. my personal favorite is the zx6r. its comfortable, stable at high speeds and corners well, but i am sure they are all good bikes just get out there and test ride them and see which one you like the best.

I use to own an '01 600f4i and now I own the 675. The handling and feel of the bike is amazing and the fact that it kept up with the '07 GSX-R750 in Cycleworld's article last year says a lot. Plus there is nothing sexier on the road right now save the Ducati 1098/848. The 675 is extremely light and agile and after I put a Jardine exhaust on it, sounds like a bat out of hell. I too worry about durability but all of the Triumph techs I've talked to say that I shouldn't. Go sit on one though and get a feel for it befor you really start getting serious.
