Yep. There is a wire jumping mod that increases hp by 10-13 (dyno tested). You can look up, or you can reply to this post. Seriously, the mod is free and it is so easy to do.

Is there anyone here at SR who would like to know how its done and why it works? Let me know.

No body who is interested into giving their ZX6R some extra ponies? If any one out there with an '05 636 needs more info about this mod, just look it up. Stay safe, everyone.

Ok i'll bite. give us the down low on what it is.But 10-13 hp is huge.I have done top end kits on a 636 using the ama cams and those give you like 3 hp at the top end K and N claims one hp and a full pipe will do you 1-3 more like 1 1/2. Dont keep us hanging

This wire jumping mod is no myth.
I know that a 10- 13 hp gain is a lot. When I saw the numbers come out on the Dyno Run, I wasn’t going to argue with the 9 hp gain! All I wanted to do was ride the steed and feel the difference.
Unfortunately, this mod only works on the ’05 ZX6R.
Before I lose anybody, I’m going to keep this nice, short, and crisp.

Step 1: Remove the seat.

Step 2: Find the dead end 4 wire plug or cap under the front seat (look for a connector with 4 little rubber plugs on one end). Open the connector up and locate where the black w/yellow stripe wire and aqua w/green stripe wire terminate. You can either stick in a wire jumper to connect these two wire ends together or pull out the appropriate plugs and use proper spade connectors in the cap to complete the circuit. Whatever you do, make sure it's isolated from other wires and the frame or anywhere it could ground on.

Step 3: Put every thing back together. You are done, Son!

I would suggest you take advantage of this opportunity while under the seat, do a general inspection. It’s what I like to call a “Health and Comfort.” Do a little bit of dusting, making sure connectors are snug and secure, etc.

Easy, right?

Here is why this mod works. Basically, it is converting our North American ECU to Euro Specs. The 05 has an exhaust valve to control the flow of exhaust to get the most power possible. However, on US/CDN models they have a thing in there to adjust the valve at high rpm's to decrease the noise, due to US noise regulations.

You can find another post on this mod at ihacked.com. Stay shining side up!
