I just joined the forum and wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm an older guy (52) back into riding (08 FJR) after years off and have been viewing this site top to bottom for tips on education and riding better. I have found loads of great stuff here. But what's equally impressive is the overall attitude and concern for safety and skill improvement. To be honest I expected a lot of ego being expressed in hot bikes, bad language, and stupid stunts; not the case at all. There is a genuine concern for safety; each other and the betterment of riding. There is so much negativity everywhere and here I see common sense, mature conversation (mostly)and support. I feel a sense of priviledge here. Thank you all.

Nice to meet u. I totally agree with you. I expected to see a lot of excess language too. I'm really impressed with the forums and how much info is availible on good riding techniques. I'm only 20, so I can defiantly use everybody else's experiences to keep myself off the ground. I have a not-so-great driving record from cars, but I think i'm fairly mild on the bike. It's scares the crap out of me most of the time. We have a lot of gravel on our roads in NE. And this is only my second year riding. I just like cruising the curvy roads and that's about it. SO, have fun out there.

Hello FJR. I'm new here too and I visit every day now; there is a lot to learn from the riders on here. I find it especially gratifying that, as you say, there is an enormous amount of mutual respect on here and unlike car drivers, even the younger members are listening and eager to learn. I love it and think it's great. Welcome back to two-wheel living
