I'm having the hardest time trying to decide which bike to go with. This is my first purchase of a brand new bike. The choice is a R1/ GSXR1000/ R6/ GSXR600. The difference in the cc is because i'm not an aggressive rider, but on occasion I like to ride with my girl on the back. I value handle in the turns more than stunting or high speed! Of cousre the price plays a big role! All opinions and advice will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

i second the gsxr750 very well balanced bike, probobly my fav bike of all times. BUT it's a subjective opinion test and site on every bike, than make your decisions ![]()
you might love the way a bike looks and hate the way it rides, and also you might not like the way a bike looks and love the way it rides, so test them all!! if it was me i base my decision on the ride. I would also try out honda and kawasaki products also, you just never know which one you'll love most!!Dont rush you decision either, research all of the bikes.
as for those 600's, i would prefer the gsxr, for the street, i find it feels more, planted and stable when i ride it. Dont get me wrong i love the r6, it's completly bad ass!! , but then again my opinion is subjective
i can't comment on 1000's, never rode them lol they scare the *** out of me lol
anyways hope this helps have a good one

It depends on what you really want to do with the bike. If you're planing on riding solo most of the time, an either 600 is a great choice. If you want more power then step up to the GSXR-750. Stay away from the liter bike unless your ready for a rocket. R1 is a great bike, but it's powerful and fast. The GSXR-1000 is...well its "the" GSXR, powerful, fast, but not unique. They're everywhere. Be honest with yourself, have you mastered throttle control? Are you mature enough to handle the horsepower of a liter bike? Both of these bike will standup on you if your not careful. Only you know your limitations, stay within them and you'll make a wise decision.

I've had the GSXR 600 and a zx-12 and now I stepped back to a K5 1000 its a great bike your very right about the HP not for inexperienced riders if you plan on riding day to day and two up I say the 1000 you must treat the litre bikes with respect the are nothing like the 600 for solo riding in the twisties grab a 600 very light and nible.

im a new rider as well and i chose the 07 gsxr600,this is the most comfortable bike in my opinion.it looks sharp and has the power.600cc is the way to go when youre just beggining to ride and its cheaper insurance (depending on your driving history).the first factor when buying a bike is you being comfortable riding it.some will say this is better etc..based on their experience.but like i said sit on it ride it if you can.
