i am trying to figure out what to get i was looking at the cbr1000rr and the gsxr1000.... i am torn on witch one to get alot of my friends preach that the suzuki is better but i am trying to get some more opions on the subject..

Comes down to company preference. All liter bikes perform basically the same. If you like refined bikes, then the CBR is a great choice, if you like something with a little more attitude, then the GSXR is your choice. If this is gonna be your first bike, then you're just a squid.

I did some research and i decided that i am going to get the cbr once i get back... it isnt really my first bike it is my first sport bike but i grew up on quads dirt bikes and snowmobiles... I dont spend alot of time on the internet so i have no idea what a ''squid'' is other then a sea creature lol...

also i was wondering if anybody knows where i can find carbon fiber rims i saw some in a magazine i have

Are you lookin to get an 07 or 08? When are you going to take the experienced riders course?

07.. iam deployed right now so i have to wait untill i get back... i was also looking at twin engine bikes do you think i well be able to hang with the guys i ride with in a twin we well be spending most of our time on the highways they all have gixxer 1000s r1 and a couple busa's i was kinda looking at something not as common like an aprili or a ducati of course if i get one of those it would have to be used new is just a little to expensive

well the Vtwins are going to handle better but your not gonna hang on the highways! Plus the v-twins don't look as cool LOL!!! I've got an R1 and I would suggest the 1RR just b/c I feel it's a beginner bike with a bigger engine! It's gonna handle like the v-twins and the 6's!
