I've only been riding for 1 month..You should take the MSF course and see how u feel with a 250cc bike first, you should take it to learn the basics, they'll have u riding in no time and its fun. That was the approach i took and i only have about 20miles riding experience and i just got a CBR 600 today and im pretty comfortable with it..it depends on the individual, it has a lot of power and it can really get u n trouble if u dont know wat ur doin. Dont rush anything, like i said i rode a small bike for only about 20miles and i feel comfortable on the 600 i just got today and i've been riding at about 45mph. I say get comfortable with a small bike first..lots of people say they learn on 600s or 750s but startin small is the safe way to go even though i didnt do it for long. If u take the course and you feel comfortable, go ahead and get it. Veteran riders would disagree and tell you to start small, but thats a decision u have to make for yourself and know your limitations, try getting an older version even though they are still powerful, they are not as strong as the new models they put out today. Watever u decide to do be safe and always wear ur gear, the slightest mistake could do a lot of damage to ur body then u wont b riding nothing. --I think u got the fever too--its a good feeling

Hi, I'm also a new rider. I bought the zzr600 two weeks ago, and I love it!!!! I had doubts about buying such a huge & heavy bike at first, but I'm glad I did. Most people will tell you to start small, but personally I don't like to buy into something that I really didn't want in the first place...so go with what you really want. You won't regret it. I would suggest that you have someone follow you, or standby while you practice during first week (or until you feel comfortable); find a dead-end road, an empty parking lot, or a lite traffic area to practice.
DEFINITELY take the SAFETY CLASS FIRST, it's WORTH EVERY PENNY!! YOU DO HAVE TO FEVER..CURE IT!!!
