06 GSX-R1000 fork question

I bought a used 06 GSX-R1000 (bank repo), the right front fork has 12 clicks, and left has 14 clicks of adjustment. My question; is the right fork tube an older model (12 clicks 03-04) or is this right for the 06. Also if the right tube is off of an older bike will an 06 cartridge fix the problem or do I have to change the cartridge and fork cap? Someone please help.
