How do I start?!

Im interested in streetbike track racing. Im not sure where I should start... I bought a 03 yamaha r6 specifically for track racing. Im going to buy a Ducati 848 for leisure riding in the next couple of months. If you have any info on how I can start I would appreciate it.

not too sure what you mean by start, start racing? start street riding? do you have any riding experience? what exacally do you want to know?

Start with track day organizations in your area. There is a list on SportRider website. This will get you used to riding a bike on the track, from there many of these track day organizations will offer Pro schools. Also, check into race schools in your area, Kevin Schwantz and Keith Code to mention a few. Here is the link: http://www.sportrider.com/ride/146_riding_schools_racing_organizations/index.html
Basically, you will have to get licensed to race in sanctioned events like WERA and CCS or even AMA. Then you are off to the races. I hope this helps. Good luck.
