Vinyl Covering

I low sided my cbr 600 rr about 2 years ago and I have not repaired it. It has cosmetic damage on the right side and underneath as well as some small defects(bubbles in paint and stress cracks). Everything is repairable, but I am looking for advice on whethor to paint or try vinyl covering. I have heard of people using a vinyl technique, but have not seen in person. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
