I'm looking to buy a 600 bike soon. I was wondering how you guys would rank these 4 bikes in term of reliability: Honda CBR600RR, Kawasaki ZX6R, Suzuki GSXR600, and Yamaha R6. Thanks for the help.

I just put 800 miles on my 2007 CBR600RR, two-day trip to Deal's Gap, and it rained on me all the way from Chattanooga, TN to Florence, AL. There are over 2500 total miles on the bike now and not one hick-up.
I know this is hardly a long-term test but this is not my first Honda CBR either. I have had two six hundreds before this, a '99 F4 and a 01 F4i. There was 36,000 miles on the F4 when it was stolen from me four years back. The 2001 was my favorite, Pearl White and Red, but alas I totaled it in January of this year with 24,000 miles on the clock. The only problem I have ever had with a CBR was the cam chain tensioner on the F4i.
You can, without a doubt, trust a Honda!

Maintain the bike well, and they will all last a long time.  I'd give a slight edge to Honda, but the gap isn't what it used to be in terms of quality.

For what it's worth....  I rode a '95 ZX-6R (new in '95) until I traded it in on my ZX-10R.  ~11 years and nearly 35k miles...

Yea just about anything from the big 4 nowdays you really can't go wrong.  They all make good stuff, though it seems Yammi has been having a few issues with the '06 R6's but hopefully it was just first year bugs. I'm a little partial to Hondas myself, but regardless they all make top notch bikes.

For what it's worth, I ride a 2004 Honda CBR 600 F4i, bought it new 10-17-04 with 3 miles, and it now has 107,603 miles (not a typo).  Only problems have been a couple noisy CCT's, which I replaced with an APE manual with excellent results, a broken clutch cable at 65k, rectifier/regulator just after 100k, and a few warped front brake rotors along the way.  Oh and the original battery died at 80k.  That's been it, otherwise completely original!  Motor and trans never been touched (except for CCT), original clutch, original steering head bearings, ect.  Still runs and rides like a brand new bike, and doesn't look half bad either.  I sure can't complain!

I've had 4 versions of the CBR, 3 600's (hurricane, *** f3 and a 900rr. I put well over 130K on the 600's and only had to replace cam chain tensioners (CCT's). 10k on the 9 and only oil changes. The CBR is a bullit proof design, just compare the valve adjust intervals for one indication,  it far outlasts its rivals.
