Im a rookie with only some dirtbike experience and im not sure which bike to start out with. I was siding with the gsxr600 or the ninja6x, but cant find any good comparisons for beginers. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There is no best 600 for a beginner. That's like buying a lethal weapon. Remember, any 600 will cut a 10 sec 1/4 mile and do 160 MPH. These things are missiles and in untrained hands can maim or kill you in a heartbeat. If you want to learn how to ride and really have fun at the same time, start with a much slower bike.
Funny how every new snow skier takes lessons before tackling the downhill for the first time, but the same person will get on a 160MPH two wheel rocket and try and teach himself how to instantly break the national speed limit by at least two-fold. It just doesn't make sense and it doesn't work.
The best way to become an accomplished rider is to take the MSF safety course and pass it before buying a motorcycle. Then go buy a used Ninja 250,Kawasaki EX500, or a standard model SV650 and practice all of the stuff you learned about in the MSF course. Once you feel confident enough by practicing in a parking lot, take to the streets and use the skills in the real world. Take it slow and easy, you don't learn when you're scared. After you've learned on a smaller, lighter bike, then consider a faster one after you've mastered the skills that are so necessary to safely handle a 600+ sportbike.
