I was thinking of changing the rear sprocket on my cbr 954.  I was hoping to squeeze a bit more acceleration out of it without making the gears too short.  I was thinkin maybe just 1 or 2 teeth up on the rear. And leave the front alone. Anybody have any experience with a setup like this on a similar bike.  Again I'm just looking for a bit more acceleration without a ton of wheelies.

Silvr --- Do 2 teeth on the rear --one will be barely noticeable,3 might be a bit much. I've known quite a few guys to do one on the front instead --I'm no engineer, but doing one on the front equates to about 3 on the rear. From an aesthetic standpoint, you can do an aluminum rear anodized whatever color you want. Steel will be a just a bit more durable, but won't look as good and it'll be a bit heavier.
