hello i dont ride motorcycles but i do use the 03 Yamaha YZF r1 motor in a racing league know as Modlites. i will include links later if anyone is interested, but last night i got in a heated arguement about yamaha making a Carburated and Fuel Injected motor in 03 for the R1. i would like to say im right but i cant find any specs on the motor to help clearify this for me. please help me out. thanks much (heres the link for interested. http://www.esdca.org/)

I am not 100% sure, but I think Yamaha put FI on the R1 starting in 2002. So no, they wouldn't make both a carbed motor and a FI motor.... Maybe AT or someone who is more up on what Yamaha did with the R1 can agree or disagree with me.
Hopefully this link works... http://www.powercommander.com/buynowbike.shtml Power commander makes a PC for the R1 starting in 2002... Not difinitive, but...
