Where can I find suspension parts?

I just picked up a '93 CBR 600 ***  It has a Showa rear shock and spring.  Part no. on the shock is MV9-003.  The spring on this thing is so stiff it barely sags when I sit on the bike even with the preload adjusted completely out.  I weigh 165 pounds.  I'd like to pick up a spring that's actually in the ballpark of the spring rate I need.  I've done some looking around a bunch of websites but haven't stumbled upon anything about this shock or replacement springs and I don't know where to start to cross reference a spring that will work.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  Will I have luck going to the local Honda dealership or contacting Showa directly?  I'm really disappointed with my inability to find anything dealing with my dilemma.  Thanks!

Update in case anyone cares.  I've figured this shock and spring are probably the stock parts.. I'm going to drop by my local Honda dealership and see if they can get the correct sized spring more tuned to my weight.  Beyond that I think the only solution is cross referencing and retro-fitting.

looking aroound on the web may not get you what you're looking for. I's suggest making a phone call to Racetech. Those guys were amazingly helpful and patient last time I called with a million questions.

If you can't find what you want, consider just getting n aftermarket shock like a Fox. Relativley inexpensive and better than stock.

go out and buy a Pensky shock and have it tuned for your weight.  best solution for the problem becuase the stock stuff on those bikes is pretty much gargbage by now....

Where in the South are you in?

Max at Traxxion Dynamics (Georgia) is a possible one stop shop for suspension needs.
