What do you guys think of the GSXR600?  I have heard that the CBR's are alot more comfy and you can ride them longer before taking breaks.

Which CBR?

Personally, I think the new GSX-R600 is more comfortable than the CBR600RR. But if you are comparing the CBR600F4i, then the F4i is more "comfy".

Comfort is not the goal of a supersport. Performance and a riding position that makes them well suited to track or  backroads riding is the name of the game.

There are plenty other bikes equally as capable but less uncomfortable.

I don't know, maybe the CBR's are more comfy, but that would have to be a very relative statement.  Every CBR I've sat on was always rock hard.  I don't know how much the seating arangement has changed but the 04/05 gixxers were pretty comfy i thought, more so than my big Honda.  But I like the way the Gixxer looks this year, although I don't like the pipe and it seems to sit way to low to the ground.  (The rear end anyway).  Maybe that's just my perception.

a lot of people are touting the F4i as a little sport tourer.
I love mine, very comfy vrs. my buddy's 636.  When i was shopping a year or so ago i found the GSXR6 to be the most comfortable out of the SS bikes.  But the F4i beat it hands down.  Havent had a chance to sit on the new ones yet though Im sure that its the same SS story, and my chiropractor might enjoy it more if i had gone with the GSXR.  The best benchmark of uncomfortable seating is my F3 race bike.  Little foam pad and when running on the line I can feel the bike vibrate up my back......

I have an 05 CBR600RR and an 06 GSX-R600 (my wife's ride). The CBR is definitely less comfortable for neck and wrists, but better on the butt when taking long rides. The Gixxer's seat seems softer, but after about an hour it starts to really cut off circulation. I believe it is because the Gixxer's seat is narrower. The Gixxer sounds better (deeper, rougher note) than the CBR and has better low-end power; it wakes up around 6000, where the CBR wakes up between 8 or 9000rpm. The CBR does handle better, and seems rock solid, where the Gixxer does feel a little floaty in the front end sometimes, but does come with a steering damper to compensate. Overall they are both excellent bikes; the CBR gives an impression of more precision and refinement, but if you are moving up from a starter bike you will find that either one is excellent and the differences are negligible.
