hello, everybody I was looking at a dealer that selles fixable crashed bikes. I'm pretty handy around cars and bikes, but the thing is i don't really know if it will be worth it in the long run because will it be safe to ride? how hard is it to bend a fram, swingarm, forks or break welds? if anyone could give me any info it would be great.
thanks Db

Well, it's REAL easy to bend a frame, swingarm, forks and break welds. Wrecks from as little as 20mph can do ALL that stuff, depending on the conditions of the crash. Sportbikes do not survive crashes well. The lightweight materials and design do thier job well when intact, but all those considerations make sportbikes inherently 'fragile' if you will. Unless you are buying the bike for a track bike or stunt bike (ie, it is probably going to be crashed AGAIN) then I would advise against buying a wrecked bike. But that's just me.

Light crash damage is OKay, if it is really wadded up let it pass. The big money is fixing the bodywork, if you have to buy it new it's not worth the trouble. There are good deals to be had on salvage bikes, I ride one every day, but you must pick your battle cearfully.
