There was a previous thread on here that mentioned the game. It looks freakin sweet. The only thing I want to know about is the upgrades on the bikes. Can you make one into a WSBK? Or can you only do minimal things. Can you purchase a MOTOGP bike for 1,000,000 bucks like in GT? That would be a nice feature. I think the MOTOGP industry owns the name and they wouldn't be able to do that without royalty payment. The game looks like it will be a great game. The GT guys have yet to put out a crappy game. I can't wait to play it.

One of my favorite sportbike racing games is "Suzuki TT superbikes" it lets you race the full course of the Isle of man TT. Let me tell you that they hit every detail of the track down to the bumps in the road. Best of all the game only cost 15$ at target.

suzuki superbikes tt is for ps2 and the release date was 8-3-05 and it is made by jack of all trades inc. I originally saw the ad in a game pro mag. not sure what month. Anyone who is into games and sportbikes really needs to check this game out. I also own "riding spirits" , "motogp 3" and suzuki superbikes tt is my favorite of the 3. And in case anyone is wondering all four major brands (honda, yamaha, kawasaki, suzuki) are all represented.

I got TT Superbikes at Best Buy for only $10! Kind of a hard game, but FUN!
Looking forward to Tourist Trophy though, that should be great.
I'd like to see a motorcycle racing game done in the style of Need For Speed: Underground 2. They could have street races against bikes AND cars, as well as circuit races, tons of mods, etc.

I'm not a huge gamer but I always have time for motorcycle games. But no doubt if they made a need for speed most wanted game but with motorcycles it would sell like crazy! I had moto gp 3 for a while and sure it was fun but the bikes are all made up (as far as I know) and in Tourist Trophy there are actually real makes and models you can choose which rocks. Only down side is that you can only race three other people in races but I guess you'll get over it.

I got Tourist Trophy yesterday. I wrote a post in another forum so I'm just going to paste my review here.
-----------------
First impression.
Actually I’m going to give you both my first and second impression. First was, this game is the tits! Everything that Gran Turismo 4 is except with bikes.
Second opinion, I think they may have dropped the ball.
I first fired it up as soon as I got home, just wanting to check it out. I had to feed and bathe the kids before I could really get into it after they went to bed. So I just played arcade mode to see what it was like. Everything down to the menu navigation is GT4. The attention to detail is amazing. The hand moves as the rider blips the throttle on downshifts and the rider mechanics are awesome. I haven’t played MotoGP in looooong time, so I don’t know how it compares. You can create your own riding style too, it allows you to adjust body angle, head angle, hang off amount, everything. It has a noticeable effect too. The graphics seem a touch better than GT4 as well. I was happy as a pig in [censored].
When I finally got into the meat of the game, the honeymoon was over. The full simulation mode is where the kinship with GT4 is severed. It’s a totally different gaming philosophy. There’s no “money” to be won. Races start from a rolling start in single file widely spaced. You don’t buy bikes but rather pick which bike you want to race, you and the computer are on identical bikes and the computer gets about a 500 meter head start. If you pass him and hold the pass for 10 seconds, you get to keep that bike. Performance parts aren’t purchased, you just bolt them on for “free”, and there are very few parts available. The races menu is set up different too, you can’t go to different events or do endurance racing…basically, the best way to describe it would be GT4 “light” except with bikes. It’s almost demo-ish, like you can’t use the whole game or something. There is also no online play like in GT4.
I’m going to continue to play hoping that maybe once I start winning some bikes and get further on, that more stuff “unlocks”, but I’m not optimistic. They should have carbon copied GT4. The only explanation I can come up with is that with the added physics of having a rider in full graphic detail and making the game look as good as it does forced a compromise. GT4 is a much “deeper” game, but it doesn’t have all of what is necessary to “sell” bikes and riders. They tint the windows and put up the convertible tops. TT has moving suspension and head shake over high speed dips…that you can feel as well as see. I guess TT2 will be much better once it jumps to PS3. maybe they should have waited until then. Right now it’s kind of a novelty teaser.
BTW, learning to ride these things is tough, at least with a regular controller. It’s really hard to be smooth and keep consistant lean angles. I’m crashing all the way around the track if I try to go fast. It’s going to take some getting used to.

I agree with a lot of what bill said. The game is great and the physics are OUTSTANDING! Controlling the bike is the hardest part. It is a lot harder than holding a lean angle and a throttle posistion than in real life. The graphics ar top notch as well. It is GT4 lite. The challenges and races are kind of lame, but it is still nice to play. I just got the game last night and played for several hours. As of right now I am hooked on it. The bike selection is pretty poor as well. I wish that you could win a WSBK or MOTOGP bike when you win a certain race series like GT4. There are only about 5 really high end bikes that I can see in the game. The sound is superb too. Each bike has a different note to listen too(RSV Factory R is sweet sounding). They did put some time into this game, but they could have put a lot more and people still would have played. As it was a low key game anyway. I didn't know about until about 2 months ago. When I knew about GT4 2.5years before it was released. I would love to see a follow up on the PS3. I will keep playing it is still a fun game.

Here's a review that sums up the game very well. There's a video review link there that is worth watching.

I agree, the fun definitely outweighs the risk. Plus if you choose the Challenge Mode there is a lot more to do than the Arcade Mode, but the arcade mode is definitely great for a quick race. The whole part of the challenge mode with the lisence school and all the tests that help you ride better in the game was pretty cool. And I love the international city tracks too. All in all I'd say TT is the best game out there of its kind.

i found the game to be horribly unrealistic. The game has great graphics and a realistic look to it. Especially when you watch your post race video. I found it odd that the easiest way to go fast is to go into every corner too hot and jam the brakes all the way through. Now in my few years actually riding i have always thought grabbing a handfull (and footfull) midcorner was a dangerous game to play. In the game however it is needed to survive.
THe game also shows its bias tword honda, especially the 600rr. Watching the Intro teaser and riding the various bikes makes this clear. I especially like how the stock 600rr can do a roll on power weelee in 4th gear going over 100mph. I seem to have trouble getting my '05 600rr to do the same.
Perhaps some gamer junkie will buy himself a bike someday and ride it the same way the game plays. Could end up ugly in that first corner....

And just when I thought maybe this video game thing might be worth a try; you have to go and post something like that.
