I would like to know how easy is it to install a slip-on exhaust. I looking into getting a Devil low-mount slip-on for my F4i this summer, and I want to put it on myself. Note: I have zero experiance installing a slip-on on a bike.

AT and SportRider did a really informative article with over 30 different slip-on pipes from different manufacturers. Are you trying to figure out what kind of pipe you want? If thats the case, dig through your SportRider stash and check it out yourself. If you need tips on installation, I can't help you there. I do know that most install by clamps or can be welded, but I am no expert. Perhaps someone else can shed some light on this....

I put a slip-on on my 10 this Summer. Super easy to do. 2 bolts and the stock can came off. All that was needed with my Akro was an additional bracket to connect the spring to... And then it used the same 2 bolts that were holding my stock can on....
I wouldn't worry about it. It was very easy to do. Now installing a PC.... That was a PITA. If I had hands like a small child, it wouldn't have been too bad.

I helped a friend install a Micron slipon for his F4i, I don't remember there being any troubles. I'm sure having an extra set of hands around speed it up though. I think the toughest part we might have had was twisting the exhaust can onto the mid pip so it was straight up and not tilted to one side or the other...which wasn't hard at all.

I put a Jardine RT-1 on my F4i this past summer and it was a piece of cake. You can probably do the whole job with the tools in the owners kit.

That's good news to hear that it is pretty simple to put a slip-on on. Yeah, I did look up the sport rider slip-on test, and it said that the Devil exhaust was pretty straightforward to put on the high mount, so it should be the same for the low mount.

Hence the name... slip on... Get some hi-temp RTV silicone for the joint for a little better seal. Easy job...

Thanks for the feedback. Where's the best place to buy some hi-temp RTV silicone?

Any auto supply will have it. I use the permatex orange stuff. There are several, some are hard setting some are "soft setting" (what you want) I think there are several temp ranges too. Or, call your local shop or tuner and see what they recommend.
