Yo AT--you are the MAN!
The DAY you quit SR, I'm not buyin the mag again. Tell Kent he has the personality of a rusty clip-on.........
Anyways, I read the {EDIT: Weapons of MASS?(sorry forgot title Destruction)} 600 shootout in 2003, and after reading that I went out and BOUGHT a 2003 R6 (spec edition--black/w/red flames).........my first bike. OMFG---the pain-the PAIN (wrist pain ) that was to follow was friggin unbelievable. Thanks for telling riders over 6'-0" tall they were in for it! I love that bike till this day--it got me laid like crazy--however the point is that it was an extremely squirrelly machine, even exp riders that rode high speed (150+) could NOT get my bike over 127 mph! READ that because they were TOO SCARED!!! These are literbike owners! I know you are shorter than I but how could you call that a comfortable bike to ride? Everything else you said was on point...quick steering--INTOXICATING sound at high revs (oh boy I LOVE Yamaha's engines).....et all. Please do us bigger guys a favor (I'm 200 lbs now). Please include a rider in your tests that is big-NOT a racer! (I'm assuming racers have a diffrent perspective on comfort levels--etc---(for example I wield a jackhammer at work and am used to it. Very few people can get comfortable with a 100lb tool )if only to hear that persons opinion of streetability on that bike. We NEED you to look out for us, the regular street guys. I have a sh*tload of respect for you as a man and a racer and an editor. I TRUST that you will take this opportunity to INFORM US to and to help us out, the rider who likes streetbike perfomance. I love the R1 but I am trying to get a 2005 ZX-10r for cost considerations ($8400--OTD). I have the 2005 shootut issue and DO read it often....I'm taking your word on your opinions that you have written on this bike. I swing a hammer and am too tired to fish out the article--plz understand. Any suggestions that you make will be welcome as well as any input as to HOW to make streetbikes MORE comfortable (and *** PLEASE dont recommend that I buy an fz1--or cruiser ---my buds 2002 R1 if like a limo compared to my 2003 R6).
___________________--In a side note thanks for giving me--a mere mortal an oportunity to speak directly with the staff at the BEST F*ckin Streebike mag in the WORLD--Sport Rider (and no i'm not a DICKRIDER )

Yo yo what's da schnizzle wit da dizzle?
Let's just hope Kento doesn't read your post because the story was Weapons of Mass Deduction and Kent wrote it. You can blame him for whatever was written in there.
'05 ZX-10R is a great bike, especially at $8400. If you can find one for that price I'd say jump on it.
You can make practically any bike more comfortable by fitting handlebar risers, a taller windscreen, and lower footpegs. There are a number of options for each, some expensive, some not. Or you could buy an FZ1...
