Wow, I just finally read through this one too.
I know which bike is fastest. And quickest. And some other interesting tidbits that we'll be posting up in the next little while.

You must not hang out on many forums R6Dave... This really was nothing... A minor little flame. That 'keyboard commando' jab was funny though. And to be honest, I am not really concerned with your opinion on this. The kid started something with me and I finished it. End of story. Was I hard on him? Probably. But when someone tells me to 'kiss off'... Then I am done being nice. I'd still like to know why he got so offended by being quoted... And he asked for it... Go figure. Boss? Here? Me? No. Not at all. But if I know something about something, I will impart that knowledge to others. If I don't know something, then I stay out of the discussion. It is simple really. 25 cars and 15 bikes. Sweet. What's your favorite? Do any of the girls from your strip clubs work at the casino? Think you can comp me at the club?
BrandonR6. Nice to see that you saw some of the humor in my posts. I was teasing the kid.... Oh well, what's done is done... Maybe next time I'll take the high road and ignore the other person... Maybe not...
Or maybe if you can't handle the heat, stay away from the fire. Or don't start something if you can't finish it... Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house... Probably a million little cliche's that apply.
My $$ is on the ZX-14 being the new king. At least until the new 'Busa comes out.

In case anyone took me seriously , I was just acting like them so that they can see how lame it is. Young guys get worked-up easily on forums , so what's the point of getting into it? Were you actually offended by the "kiss off" comment? My point is that some people jump at the chance to correct a mistake or they impose their "wisdom" on noobs and make them feel stupid.I've been heavily into bikes for 25 years and I know a fair amount about them but I don't feel the need to jump on every damn thread to make sure people know they're wrong.

Worked up? That was nothing. I like these kind of "debates". Adds a little spice. I don't start them, but I've been known to finish a few.
Offended? Yes and no... When you are new someplace, trying to be helpfull and make some internet friends... The last thing you should do is tell someone to "kiss off". The kid asked a question, made a couple statements, and I tried to be polite and helpfull. My first few posts anyway. If someone is going to dish it out, they better be able to handle receiving it...
Make people feel stupid? Nah, I don't have time for that. I am not looking to get banned either. I wonder though... Someone asks something that they don't know, for example "what's faster?". You tell them the answer. Are you then making them feel stupid? Or just giving them the information that they asked for in the first place?
25 years of riding. Sweet. I've been at it for 16. The advancement of bikes has been amazing... And tires... And suspension... Availability of track days... I hope to ride for at least 40 more years. That'll put me at 76.
"make sure people know they are wrong" Not sure about this... Re-read my first few posts. How exactly was I putting this kid down? And if I am 100% sure of something, then I will try to correct peoples mistakes in riding technique or wrong perceptions. So I quoted the kid. Big deal. It is easier to keep track of who said what.
You need to lighten up R6Dave. And stop over reacting.
All hail the new king!! ZX-14....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't like the looks either. I wouldn't buy it. The 'Busa was considered ugly by most when it came out. Now lots of people like the way it looks. It has/had the performance to over come it's looks. So does the ZX-14. It is the new king.

I am not the one getting all bent out of shape over this. And I am still not. This is funny, but it is getting old. This thread was dead until you brought it back. It has been read over 3 thousand times. And you seem to be the only one who thinks I am the bad guy here.

Like I said earlier, I don't start these things. If a "naive new guy" or even a grizzled veteran tells me to 'kiss off', I am going to tear them up. And I took it easy on the kid. I really did... He ducks my questions just like you have been. I keep asking, but you don't respond. What did I say/type in the first couple of posts to be told to 'kiss off'? Answer me that. I asked that very question back in December. An no one has been able to show what got this kid going.
And if redrrider390 ever shows up an appoligizes, I will do the same. It is just the internet.
And who else have you had to defend from me? Who else have I attacked? Come on Dave, name names. I don't start this cr@p, but I'll finish it.
More importantly. Will this thread ever get back on topic????

How about we only post an opinion if we own one of the two I own a k8 busa the k8 and newer edge out the zx14 in the 1/4 mile and top end. the zx is tapped out at 186 the busa has more if both are tre equiped.
There are worse things than death cowardice is one of them.
