I hope you have the skills to pilot a Hayabusa--it certainly takes more skill than looking for the ergonomic information published by Motorcyclist www.motorcyclistonline.com which should tell you the exact measurements of both bikes.

The riding position on a SV650 standard bike is great.  And it costs almost half as much.  And you will get A LOT of thumbs up when you go riding, because everyone will know how mature you are for buying a more sensible bike.

Be careful. They don't make soapboxes like they used to.
Do you get a lot of thumbs up on that sensible GSXR-1000?

Casey, I've been here a while now.  Don't be fooled by my post count--it got reset to zero when they changed over to the new board format.

In forums, your use of grammar and capitalization says a lot about who you are, much like your attitude and the way you dress in the visual world.  Here’s a fictitious example:

“sup dawgs.  busa or tl1000. throw down.  aight peace owt”.

This post on the surface tells you the poster is a) uneducated b) immature c) unskilled at riding d) not worth a second look.

Anybody who frequents car and motorcycle forums like I do know what these people are like.

Now Motofuzz may be a great and mature rider with 10 years of experience, but how am I supposed to know that if he doesn‘t say anything about that?  If my assumption is wrong, then I have no problem apologizing.  Looking through the rest of his posts it appears that he has been asking a lot about 1000+ cc bikes, and he says he’s even read a lot about them, but if he really read a lot about them he wouldn’t be here asking questions.  I directed him toward the Motorcyclist website, which I know has the exact ergonomic measurements of both the TL1000 and the Hayabusa.

Not exactly a soapbox I was on…

And yes I got lots of thumbs up and waves on ALL my bikes, Ninja 250 and SV650 included.  (also got glances from hot chicks even on my Ninja 250!  That might have meant something if I hadn’t been engaged at the time )

Okay.
I didn't know that we were here to gauge each other's personalities and judge by their spelling and grammar whether or not someone deserved to receive advice or information.
I thought we were here to help each other out, and answer simple questions with simple answers, without a condecending tone or superior attitude.
Guess I was wrong.

My bad, dawg...

I'll second that Casey.
There is another sportbike forum already dedicated to that kind of behavioral response. If we can all be just a little more tolerant, we may be able to reach/help more riders.
Just my two cents.
