Every since the media release the articles and pics of the ZX-14, It appears those Suzuki boys are real quiet. Kawasaki has always been the innovating leader of the industry. Can I get a AMEN.

Aren't we jumping the gun? Has Suzuki offically released its 2006 lineup yet?
Who has won the 2005 AMA Superbike (and taken 2nd and 4th in the final season standings) and is enroute to win the 2005 World Superbike championships?
It ain't Kawasaki.

Don't forget that Kawi placed 1st and 2nd in Supersport and that Suzuki and Ducati were the only full factory teams in Superbike.
Let's see what happens next year when Yami and Kawi return to AMA superbike.

That's true. But then, this isn't saying much since, impo, the Bus is fairly ugly looking also.
Functional for what it's made to do, but ugly.

Wait, let me get this straight. Not much of a Kawasaki fan so I haven't kept up with their `06 intros...
So there will be a ZX-10R, ZX-12R and ZX-14 (which replaces ZZR1200)?

I agree, but that's what literally everyone said when the Busa debuted, adding that they'd "never buy it". And look at it now, still selling quite well seven years later...

Correct. They also made extensive updates to the EX500, making it a 650, new chassis, etc. (Not that too many will care, but just thought I'd put that in there... ) EDIT: Whoops, scratch that-- the ZX-14 is replacing both the 12R and the ZZR-12 for '06, according to Kawasaki...
BTW, not a "Kawasaki fan", just elaborating on the question...

You have to admit the zx-12 gave you the best of several worlds. Speed, handling, nimbleness, and comfort. I did not like my busa because it was so wide it made it hard to turn, But my ZX-12r I have no complaints. Next on the list is ZX-14r. REIGN Supreme BABy BABY

So which one is eenie, meenie, minie and moe?
Heck, I'm sure the ZX-14 will sell considerable numbers. These bikes appeal to a certain segment and Suzuki and Kawasaki will be sure to market them well.
At least I'll get to see another type of bike decked out with maximal bling- y'know, the polished/chromed wheels, frames, etc.

Heh, you think that's bad....ever take a look at the number of models (and the "differences" between each model designation) in the alphabet soup Harley Davidson catalog? (not that you'd want to slog through it, but just take a peek.. .)
Considering the extremely raked out bodywork, I think it'll be kind of interesting to see if the magazines can bypass the 186mph limiter on this one as well, and see what it'll do on top (even though that has no bearing whatsoever to "real world" riding). Wonder how close it'll get to the double-ton...
