I'm looking for a new, better helmet and I'm wanting an Arai.  Over here I haven't been able to find any.  Anyone know of some good online retailers that sell Arais?  Thanks

It's my understanding that Arai is not allowing the helmets to be sold on the internet, especiallyu at reduced prices. They want to protect their dealer network. You can try and do a google, or ebay. If you find anything let us know because I got my last Arai over the net and the price was great and I need a new one.

Arai is rumored to be revising their policy of not allowing internet sales due to losing a large portion of their market share as a result of this policy (not to mention continual price increases).  I don't know how soon they will supposedly change this policy but I would think it should be sooner rather than later.  I recently purchased a new helmet and even though Arai had the best looking paint scheme it wasn't even an option because their prices are soo high compared to their competition.

Have you tried one on?  I know my head doesn't fit right in them...  Shoei works best on my noggin.  They make very nice helmets though if you do fit in them.

each of Arai's models have a different shell shape, they're all gonna fit a little different. I have an Astral which fits better than anything I've ever tried on, but the RX-7 (which is far more expensive) gives me a headache in about 5 minutes. I recommend trying on everything you can find before buying.

Arai's policy of no internet sales is their way of getting you to come in to be fitted by a trained technician.  Because Arai offers so many different shell shapes they want to make sure you get the right one for your noggin'.  I have an RX7-Corsair and it is the most comfortable helmet I have ever owned.  The price to me was well worth it.

If you are looking for online retailers who will actually sell you one via the net, good luck.  You could try  The Helmet Harbor , they have an outstanding website that is full of information.  Otherwise, try Ebay.  There are a lot of retailers selling Arai's that have discontinued graphics at discounted prices.  Good luck.
