Seems like all the rags do the same comparos at about the same time. Actually when I look back through my collection of mags I see a real pattern. You have the first ride stuff, Then the full test of the bike, then you have it going head to head with the competition.
I do really enjoy all of it,"it's kind of a hollywoodish build UP"
After the head to heads it's over, it's seems we are then left with second rate tests.
I would love to see different comparos, "I have seen some in the past" for example modern 600s against past generation liter bikes, 99cbr900,first gen. R-1
Just think it would make intersting reading.

I'd like to see some kind of ultimate "600" test, track and street riding with just about any 600cc sportbike/streetbike that you can still buy new at a dealership today.  Honda 599, F4i, 600RR, Kawasaki ZZR600, ZX6R/RR, Suzuki Katana 600, GSXR600, Triumph Daytona, speed four, Yamaha YZF600R, R6, R6S, FZ6 (that's 14 "600s").  And then in the same issue see a comparison with bikes like the SV650, Hyosung(sp?) 650 comet <you know that korean SV650 thing>, Monster620/800, Ducati supersport 620/800s, GS500, EX500, Kawis new ER6 (whatever its called), Buell XB9.
