changes made to the hayabusa from 99 to 05

I was trying to figure out what changes have been made to the hayabusa since it's lauch in 99 to 05. If any? The reason i ask is because i am going to buy one in the near future, and i what the deferance between the yeays was, so i can pick what year i want. thanks for any help with this

I believe in either 2000 or 2001 they changed the subframe from aluminum to steel because the lighter aluminum subframes weren't strong enough and some of them were cracking, the steel ones were stronger but heavier. I think that change and restricting the top speed to 186mph were really the only changes?

In 2002, the EFI was changed to a more precise variable pressure system, replacing the old-style recirculating/constant pressure system. The ECU was also changed to a slightly more powerful unit. '05 unit gets radial-mount calipers and slightly revised suspension rates (including ti-nitride coating on fork tubes).

No radial-mount brakes, it's always had 6-piston standard-mound calipers. Titanium nitride was added to the forks in '03.

The 12R recieved radial mount brakes in 04.
