Still looking for that pirfect bike.  My friends have talked me out of the bigger bikes.  I'm looking in to some euro bikes mainly the MV agusta F4 or the MZ 1000s.  Does anyone have any thing to say about these bikes.  Thanks again for all the help.

MV Agusta is like sex on wheels. If you can afford it, go for it. One of the few inline-four motorcycles that I would consider buying with my own hard earned cash.

MZ 1000 is a unique flavor- 1000cc parallel twin. I don't know how common those things are in Europe but they are definitely out of the ordinary cookie cutter bikes here in the States.

BTW, these aren't exactly "little" bikes. This isn't a first bike for you, is it?? The MV Agusta F4 1000S is a $23K USD bike and make for a horrible first bike with it's 140+ rwhp and demanding ergonomics.

Not to mention the insane parts prices when you tip over the first time...

not all mvs are litre bikes. they still have the f4 750s. but yea if you have the money id say go for it unless its your first bike. to drop an f4 is a crime. but in my opinion im kinda thinking you got your head in the clouds man. you need to think a lil more reasonably and save some of that hard earned money of yours

To my knowledge, the only F4 750 left is a limited edition version, priced at the same price as an F4 1000S. This sort of making choosing between the two somewhat... interesting.

There is always the Brutale but I get the impression the thread originator is not looking for a bike like the Brutale.

yea that is true the 750s are as much as the 1000 damn near. so its almost a no brainer on which one to get. unless you really dont like litre bikes. but in all reality mv agustas are expensive as hell to begine with. (even though its about the same as buying a new car or truck) for a motorcycle its expensive. its awesome looks come with a huge price tag. for way cheaper you can get a bike that preforms just as well. but it wont look half as good as the ***

No not the first bike for me, but my first liter bike.  Done the hole bit 250 up till 750. Money isn't a big problem (god love father inlaws).  problem is I never heard of MZ before I moved to germany.  The only bikes any one will talk about here are BMW (ya would think god blesed every one that rolled out of the plant) or Ducati.  There are a tons of them on the road here.  So I'm realy looking for usefull fact or opinions on the MZ Thanks again.

MZ's are from what used to be called East Germany, before reunification. Head east, my friend.

Or use this URL: http://www.muz.de/

The 2005 Sportbike annual from Cycle World has a comparison test that includes the MZ1000S.

IMHO, if I had the money, I would have to go for a F4 1000S. There is just something about a Tamburini designed motorcycle that is simply irresistible.

If your father in-law has some spare cash lying around (or wants another son in-law), let me know.

from what i heard the f4s handle and ride good. with the exception of a kinda uncomforatable seat. but i really havent heard anything bad about it from anyone lucky enough to own/ride one.
