Hey all, I'm sellin my bike on ebay in a few weeks because I just feel its time to move on and get something bigger and newer with less mileage. My only problem is when I attempt to sell this bike, its a 01 gixxer 600 with 14700 miles, if someone wants to test ride it how could I let them and feel okay?? The bike will still be technically in my name so if someone rides it for a test spin and falls and hurts themselves I'm going to be sued and what not most likely? Basically how do i sell the bike without being responsible for someone wanting to ride it?? Or should I just say hey get in your car and follow me and Ill show you it runs well, but that sounds a bit weird. Any suggestions on helping me sell it would be appreciated. Thanks

State in your E-Bay listing:

To test ride, you must have the following:

Current drivers liecence/motorcycle endorsment.

No less then 1/2 the asking price in cash.

*Must sign a 'document of indemnity'.

*In this document-the 'test rider' will pay for any damage
and repairs resulting from a crash or agree to purchase the
bike for the stated asking price. The document will also
state the 'test rider' will not hold you responsible and
liable for any injury/condition resulting from test riding this bike. Past, present or future.

The legal standard for a ''document of indemnity'' vary from state to state. Be sure yours meets the standard for your state.
