I was just wondering if anyone knows if there are any pro's or con's to going up a size on the rear tire. My bike came with a stock 180/55ZR17 (gsx-r600). I was thinking about going with a 190/55ZR17 when I get a new set. Will it be any better to go with the bigger size or just stick with what size came from the factory?

I would stay with the 180. Depending on the rim size of
the GSX-R600 and your choice of tire, a 190 may alter the
handling of the bike- It might or might not work for you.

I think I will stay with the 180. As far as the choice of tire I have it down to 3: Pirelli Diablo Dunlop D208 ZR Michelin Pilot Power
Right now I am leaning towards the Pirelli,I have several friends that have been using these and they are very happy with them. Any thoughts on which one would be a good choice? I do my riding on the roads, with plenty of time spent in the twisties.

I think you're making a good decision sticking with the 180. The 190 would definitely slow your steering down, and the 180 has a big enough contact patch for your bike to put power down. Out of your list of tires, I would suggest the Pirelli. I use Diablo Corsas on my bike and honestly, they are the best tire I've used on the street. The Corsas, however, wear much too quickly for the street, which I know also has to do with the power my ZX-10 is making. But the regular Diablo has the same profile and manufacturing tech in it...and it's a great tire. Seriously, with Pirelli, it's almost impossible to go wrong. Good luck, and stay safe.
