I just recently got a 1991 CBR600 F2 and wanted to put a new slip-on exhaust on it. Want brand is usually the best to go with. To install a new one you just have to take off the exhaust clamp and put the new slip-on on and clamp it down again. right. Also do i need to get a jet kit or anything like that or is the bike fine if i just get the new pipe. I mean it wont back fire or not run very well if a get a new one? I just want a new look to it and not cost me another 300 dollars to have a jet kit installed. Thanks

If you're just installing a slip-on then a jet-kit won't be neccasary. And yes, usually installation is pretty straightforward, unlike a full system which would require removing bodywork, etc. Now, as far as what systems are best is really up to your personal preference as to looks/quality/power gains/sound. I personally have found that Hindle makes a good quality exhause that performs above average on power and sounds quite good without being obnoxiously loud. Here's a SP link for sound clips for a ton of different canisters. http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0410_pipe_clips/index.html Also, Hindle is fairly inexpensive compared to other high-end exhausts such as Yoshimura and Arata. Check out www.hindle.com for your application. Good luck!
