Also, if I was you: I would buy the Busa, put thirty pounds of chrome on it and lower it 4 inches, then I would tow it behind my caddilac with 20's on it....
Shouldn't it be the otherway around... the bling blinged `Bus towing the Caddy with 20' `dubs? It's the fastest, most powerful production bike, right?

Personally, I don't see the point of the Hayabusa. OK, so it's more comfortable than a SuperSports for long distance, hence the term Hyper-Tourer, and it is the fastest production motorcycle. So what? Fun on an airstrip for an afternoon.
The Aprilia though, I think is great, although I haven't ridden a new model. If you like track days, and I think all sports bike riders should go to these, then the Aprilia is by far the best option. The factory is set up for this kind of riding, and as someone already mentioned the engine note is wonderful.
So for your question, "...some who likes speed AND control", the Aprilia gets my vote. You can't really flick a Busa like you can the Mille.

I think you originally asked about handling and such. The Aprilia is a much better handling bike with top-shelf suspension and other components. It definitely has more character than the 'Busa. The 'Busa is pretty much a straight line bike...plus, there are a ton of them out there. If you're gonna shell out that kind of money, I would definitely get the Aprilia. In my opinion, 'Busas are only worth it if you bolt on a turbo and stretch the swingarm, cuz not you're not really tearing up any corners on that sucker. Plus the v-twin on the Aprilia sounds freakin' sweet. Just be careful, bud.
I have a Busa, and not trying to brag here but it does just fine in the corners. Sure it takes a little more effort but hey, I am capable of hanging with a 600 or a 1000.

im looking to get a bike and im at a point where i've narrowed it down to either a Aprilia Mille Factory R or a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300R Limited(2005) if anybody knows which one is the better bike for someone who likes speed AND control please let me know but e-mail me cuz im not sure how often im gonna check this e-mail me at greedynicecold@hotmail.com
Bro, get what you feel most comfortable on. If you like the the twiesties the Aprillia(also depending on the rider) will handle better in the corners. If you like top speed and comfort go for the Busa. But I would highly recommend and MSF course before you go out and purchase either one.

yea you can hang with them in the corners like 2 or 3 bike lengths if theres a newby piloting it. but with an experienced rider you probably couldnt even keep with in a bike length of a litre bike. while the 600 is a length in front of him. i know you werent bragging. but the point is the only way you can hang with either of them is if the 600 and litre bike rider dont really know what there doing and arent even close to the pace of a good rider

and also i dont think the new rider section was the best place for him to ask the question " hayabusa or mille r?" of course he was gonna catch some crap. it was implied he was a new rider

Your right about that. No doubt, I won't smoke the advanced rider, but I'll be able to keep up!

Aprilia or Hayabusa, too easy! Going to the Dragstrip or want to bling it out, get the ‘Busa. Going to a Road Track and want to say “I own an exotic”, get the Aprilia. Both bikes will go fast enough straight line and in the twisties to call undue attention to yourself and every other rider on public roads aka squid. I will take a different stance and assume you are responsible and spare you the public service announcements. Go to the dealer, get on both and your heart will tell you what you want!

ok, knowing the terrain is the first step, the bike and your situ is next. First, how many Aprilia dealers are within a 250-mi radius of you? Suzuki shops are plentiful. A gsxr or sv1000 may be a better choice. and do you have a girl to put on back? have you looked at sport-tourers? next, where do you live- what are the roads like you would most likely ride- twisty,or sweeping? Remember- it's better to do research than to be an unhappy payment maker.

I've never heard of anyone contemplating between an exotic road racer and hyabusa that was remotely interested in a sport tour. I personally can't see how people can stand to look at them. Aside from the VFR800, imo, they're all hideous. I'd rather saddle up on a VTX 13 or 1800 if I wanted to cruise.

I wouldn't get either one. Get something like an SV650 or something with no plastic on it. You WILL crash it. I promise. I'm not trying to get down on you, but I've been there. Your biggest obstacle once you've crashed will be to get rolling again. Wouldn't you rather replace the handlebars, a foot peg and shifter/brake lever, or the whole left/right side plastic as well as the other stuff that I listed? Or worse yet, make it a "street fighter", which, sorry street fighter guys, looks like a rolling junk pile. I'm just sayin'...
