It has been 5+ years, I am looking forward to listening and helping in the future. I just picked up an 05 1000RR and looking for suspension set up advice, any helpers? I am 6'1" 205LBS and no I am not a block head city racer. I am a sunday morning fresh air breather. By the way I am signing up for MSF to knock the rust off! It feels great to be back in the real world. Thanks again for any help.

Good to see you coming back to the sport. The MSF course is a good idea. I'm not sure about the suspension settings on the 1000RR, give RaceTech a call I'm sure they could set you up nicely.

Welcome home, retread! There's a some good resources for suspension setups out there. Check CBRWorld.net, Fireblades.org, or a number of others. Have a look at the links page here for some good sites as well.
Great bike you've got there, did you get the Repsol edition?

Thanks for the input/links and the welcome back. I have had many bikes in my day and I am an avid dirt biker. If I can help you out let me know!
Had a great first weekend breaking in the little lady. She is far more comfy then I thought she'd be.
As far as the Repsol edition, nope, I missed that chance around here (Central Valley CA). I picked up the Titanium color.
Here comes the U.S. GP anyone in. I am there all 3 days! Quote:

If only I could be there with ya! I've been dreaming about the Laguna Seca GP run for a while. You're gonna have a blast!
